No matter how small or niche a business might be, there is a business insurance policy - or set of policies - that can protect the company through numerous situations.
For example, a company's daily operations could be devastated if tools that are regularly used are either damaged or stolen. Or, what if a customer falls and then injures himself on the business' property? Having the necessary Nevada general liability insurance policy can help an organization bounce back from such an incident.
Sarah Brown and her husband, Kenneth started their own Nevada-based company called Critical Tattoo that manufactures tattooing equipment. Brown explained to Bloomberg Businessweek that the eight-employee, organization was recently named by the Small Business Administration as Nevada's exporter of the year.
According to Brown, she knew that it was an interesting industry when she and her husband began the company, but it is slowly becoming a more global market as well.
"It was more of a gut feeling," Brown said. "There was a trend in the media. There were TV shows coming out about tattoo artists. And the sheer volume of distributors for the equipment in different parts of the world started to give me a sense."
Firms that are in expanding sectors, such as Critical Tattoo, might also need to adjust their Nevada business insurance policy, especially if they are opening multiple locations. This is also an example of when commercial auto insurance might be needed, as transportation could be required between one shop and another.
Either way, partnering with commercial insurance specialists who understand the area can be of great assistance in finding the best coverages for your company, no matter how niche it might be.
